Jan is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer and has been doing in-home training for 10 years. Prior to starting her personal training career, she was a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force for 20 years. She retired overweight, with poor eating habits, disabled and dependent on a cane to help her walk around. Once she decided to take control of her fitness, she joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. This sparked her interest in the field because the trainer she hired took the time to listen to her and rebuilt her entire muscular system. She now runs and lifts weights on a regular basis. The personal attention and dedication she received from her first trainer has become the standard to which she holds herself. Jan has numerous accreditation’s from different fitness classes that all specialize in one particular aspect of personal training. There are classes aimed specifically at active adults, post rehabilitation, nutritional counseling, swiss ball and bosu ball exercises, kettle bell and resistance bands. In addition to these, she is certified to take and monitor blood pressure, administer CPR and AED.
